How CPT-Recovery Works
CPT-Recovery provides access to safe, sober and recovery-aligned accommodation in Cape Town.
We support people at different stages of recovery, guided by three core principles: safety, alignment and continuity of care.
Who We Support
1. People in Recovery Who Want to Travel Safely
CPT-Recovery supports individuals who are stable in their recovery and wish to travel without compromising their sobriety.
This includes people who want to:
- Travel in a sober and recovery-aligned environment
- Attend meetings or connect with the recovery community
- Celebrate milestones or share their journey
- Revisit meaningful places connected to their recovery
We help ensure that accommodation supports recovery rather than challenges it.
2. People Transitioning Out of Treatment
CPT-Recovery also supports individuals who are completing primary treatment and are not yet ready for full independent living.
This stage often benefits from:
- Structure and accountability
- A sober and supportive living environment
- Connection to recovery peers
- Continued alignment with treatment goals
We work in collaboration with treatment centres, secondary care facilities and sober living houses to provide a safe and supported transition.
Our Role
CPT-Recovery is not a treatment provider and does not replace professional care.
Our role is to act as a recovery coordination and matching service.
This means we:
- Carefully review each request
- Assess recovery stage and needs
- Match individuals with suitable recovery-aligned accommodation
- Coordinate communication with partner facilities
All stays are coordinated through CPT-Recovery to maintain clarity, safety and alignment for both guests and partner houses.
Requesting a Stay
If you are considering a recovery-aligned stay in Cape Town, the first step is to submit a request.
We will review your situation, discuss suitable options and help connect you with a place that supports your recovery journey.
CPT-Recovery does not provide medical treatment or therapy.
We work alongside existing recovery and treatment services to support continuity of care.
